How NID verification works — and why it changes everything
Every amarjibon profile is verified against a Bangladesh National ID. What you submit, how long it takes, and how your data stays protected — the whole process in plain language.
What is the single biggest fear in online matchmaking? Fake profiles. The photo belongs to one person, the name to another, and sometimes there is nobody behind it at all. At amarjibon we removed that fear first: every member must verify with a Bangladesh National ID (NID).
What you submit
- A clear photo of the front of your NID card
- Optionally the back — verification completes faster
- A selfie, so our system can match your face to the card
The whole flow happens inside the app — the camera opens, you frame the card, done. Most verifications complete within 1–2 business days.
How protected is your data
The NID image is stored encrypted and permanently deleted after 90 days. Only the "verified" status remains on your account — no other member ever sees the card image or number. We never sell personal data. Ever.
The guardian NID — an extra seal of trust
Marriage in our society is a whole-family decision. So on amarjibon a parent, sibling, or elder can co-sign your profile with their own NID. Families read that guardian seal differently — it means your family already knows, and already stands beside you.
What you cannot do without verification
You can browse unverified, but sending interests, chatting, and viewing photos stay limited. That is deliberate — everyone you talk to here is a real, verified person.
Create your free profile today — once verification completes, your profile carries the green seal that thousands of families trust.
