Is Amar Jibon free to use?
Yes. You can create a profile, browse other profiles, and send a small number of interests every week for free. Paid plans (Silver, Gold, Diamond) unlock unlimited interests, who-viewed-me, priority matching, and concierge support.
How is Amar Jibon different from other matrimony sites?
Every profile is verified with a real Bangladesh NID — no fake accounts, no catfishing, no bots. We also accept a Guardian NID so your family can vouch for you. The app works in English and Bangla, and our team is based in Bangladesh.
Do you sell my information to anyone?
No. We never sell your personal data and we do not run ad networks inside the app. Your photos and contact details are only visible to other verified users you choose to interact with. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
What does NID verification involve?
You upload a photo of your NID (front, optional back, optional selfie holding the card). Our verification team checks it within 1–2 business days. The NID image is deleted after 90 days; only the verification status remains on your account.
Why do you ask for a guardian NID?
Matrimony in Bangladesh is a family decision. A parent, sibling, uncle, aunt, or older relative co-signs your profile — adds an extra layer of trust and aligns with how families actually choose. It is required only to publish your full profile (Gold tier and above).
Can other people see my phone number or email?
No. Your phone and email are never shown to other users. When you match with someone, you chat inside Amar Jibon. You decide if and when to share contact details outside the app.
How do I keep my profile private until I am ready?
You can hide your profile from discovery at any time in Settings → Privacy. Existing matches still see you; new people do not. You can also delete your account (30-day grace period before permanent deletion).
Can I use Amar Jibon if I am Bangladeshi but living abroad?
Yes. We have users across the UK, US, Canada, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Australia, and beyond. Pricing is geo-aware — you pay in your local currency, and matches respect your stated location preference.
What if I find a fake profile or someone harassing me?
Tap the report button on any profile or message. Our trust & safety team responds within 24 hours. Serious violations result in immediate permanent bans. You can also block any user instantly — they will not see your profile or contact you again.
Can I get a refund if I subscribed by mistake?
Yes. Refunds within the first 7 days of an initial subscription are honored on request — email support@amarjibon.com. Cancellations after that prevent future renewal but do not refund the current period (this is industry-standard).
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account. You can sign back in within 30 days to cancel deletion. After 30 days the account and all data is permanently removed — except for legal-hold records (financial transactions, abuse-report investigations).
Does Amar Jibon work in Bangla?
Yes. The entire app — screens, emails, SMS — is available in Bangla and English. You can switch in Settings → Language at any time.
