Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets the rules of conduct for everyone who uses amarjibon (আমার জীবন), a Bangladesh-based matrimony platform for adults seeking marriage. It applies to your profile, photos, bio, voice and video introductions, messages, calls, and every other part of the service. This AUP is part of our Terms of Service — violating it is a breach of those Terms. Breaking these rules can lead to content removal, suspension, or a permanent ban, and we proactively report illegal activity to law enforcement as described in our Law Enforcement Guidelines.
1. Age restrictions — adults only (18+)
amarjibon is strictly for adults aged 18 and older. We verify age through National Identity Document (NID) checks.
- You must not use amarjibon if you are under 18.
- You must not contact, solicit, groom, or attempt to meet anyone you know or believe to be under 18.
- If we discover an account holder is under 18, we delete the account immediately.
2. Child sexual exploitation and abuse — zero tolerance
We have zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation or abuse of any kind. You must never create, upload, share, request, solicit, or link to any content that sexually exploits, sexualizes, or endangers anyone under 18 — including child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — and you must never use the service to groom, exploit, or abuse a minor. We permanently ban such accounts, preserve the evidence, and proactively report them to law enforcement and the relevant child-protection authorities.
3. Sexually explicit content
amarjibon is a matrimony service, not a dating or adult platform. You must not post, upload, or send sexually explicit, pornographic, or nude content anywhere on the service — in your profile, profile photos, bio, voice or video introductions, messages, or calls.
4. Sexual violence and non-consensual content
- You must not threaten, promote, depict, or incite sexual violence, sexual coercion, or any non-consensual sexual activity.
- You must not share, or threaten to share, intimate or sexual images or private information about any person without their consent.
5. Human trafficking and sexual exploitation
- You must not engage in, facilitate, or promote human trafficking of any kind — including trafficking for sexual exploitation — or sex trafficking.
- You must not use the service to offer, advertise, arrange, or solicit sex work, escort or "companionship" services, or the commercial sexual exploitation of any person.
- You must not aid, abet, or encourage any of the above — helping or encouraging someone else to do it is treated the same as doing it yourself.
6. Scams and fraud
You must not engage in any scam activity intended to defraud amarjibon members, or deceive or financially exploit anyone on the service. This includes:
- Romance scams — building a relationship to extract money, gifts, or financial favors.
- Soliciting money, gifts, or financial support from other members.
- Requesting bank, card, mobile-wallet, or OTP details, or any phishing.
- Promoting investment, lottery, or "crypto" schemes.
- Misrepresenting your identity for financial gain.
7. Harassment and abuse
- You must not harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, or intimidate anyone.
- You must not post hateful or defamatory content.
- You must not aid, abet, or encourage the abuse or exploitation of any person, on or off the service.
8. Honesty and platform integrity
- Do not impersonate any other person or misrepresent your identity, age, marital status, or photos.
- Do not upload someone else’s NID — a serious offense and grounds for a permanent ban.
- Do not attempt to circumvent verification, moderation, or security mechanisms.
- Do not use bots, scrapers, or any automated means to access the service.
- Do not use the service for commercial solicitation or advertising, resell or monetize matches, or use it for any unlawful purpose or to promote illegal activity.
9. Enforcement
We enforce this policy with human moderators and automated tools. Depending on the severity, we may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or permanently ban accounts — immediately and without warning for serious violations. We preserve evidence of serious illegal activity and proactively report child sexual exploitation, human trafficking, and imminent threats to life to law enforcement, as described in our Law Enforcement Guidelines.
10. How to report
If you see something that breaks these rules, use the in-app Report button on any profile or conversation, or email help@amarjibon.com. Reports are confidential — the person you report is never told who reported them. Our team reviews every report.
